Third batch - Milk Stout

Hope to detail the process step by step in next couple days.  Got the kit and bottle washer from the local store Home Brew Party http://www.homebrewparty.com/

Dedicated Brew fridge

So after some advice from a fellow brewer that temperature control of fermentation makes for a better brew I decided to rehab an old fridge.

1 compressor would not start.  Bought and installed new capacitor

2 freon was low. Bought a line tap for the low side.  Had an old can of r12 and charged to 12 lbs when running.

3 built a digital temp controller w spare parts and a controller off eBay.

Now I can cool the batch to the degree.

Second batch - New Castle Brown

This batch was an attempt at brewing one of my favorite off the shelf beers, New Castle Brown Ale.
I'll try to detail more about it later, let's just say it was too fruity for me.

First batch - Coopers Dark Ale

My beautiful family bought me this mix for Father's day last year. As well as a home brewing kit from San Antonio Homebrew Supply.
It came out great! Beginner's Luck?
Starting a new blog to document my home brewing for myself and others.
